What grit to use on the bottom?

Ive seen some posts that recommend a certain grit of sandpaper to rough up the bottom for an extra mph or so. Is it 320 or 400 or 600 or what? I have the boat off of the trailer and getting ready for the mess now. Thanks Greg

ussually 400 will do it. HOWEVER I would not go through all the effort as the boat can be a biatch to clean and get dirty MUCH faster. Not worth the minor IF ANY gain for all the effort.
