Working on a boat deal in Miami that will need some gel repair (chips on bow, chine type stuff). Since all the MD shops are so busy doing spring refit thought it might make sense to get some work done in Florida before shipping home. Would also like to have some minor panel work done (move the steering and throttles, change throttles out to 4-lever throttle/shift set, swap the hydraulic helm to a tilt unit) and maybe a few more things that will come to me.
Recommendations? Anyone got some room in their schedule for work in the first part of April?
I'd also need help in locating a good place to keep the boat pending work etc.
Thanks - Greg

Best place I know of for Glass work is Guardado Marine Multiservices in Opa-Locka/N. Miami. Sorry I don't have the number, but they're in the book. Ask for Eddie Guardado - they do all the Skater work in the area. If you remember Forest Barber's boat from Key West in 2000, they were the ones that fixed that mess - and it held up. They've done work for me, too. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

He's in North Miami and does KILLER work. I had my boat painted by him. When I went to look at his shop, he had a Cig he was repairing. You could not tell where the thing had been hit. Awesome work...

Give Tres Martin a call. When I was at their shop a few weeks ago, they were performing glass repairs to a couple of Skaters. They could certainly help with your ret-fit needs too.
