Stainless Steel Screw sets???
Im buying misc parts and pieces for the garage and would like to get an assortment of stainless screws, bolts, washers ect.
Anyone know a good place to buy assorted packages? |
McMaster Carr used to offer a stainless trim screw assortment.. I don't know about regular nuts and bolts.

Just make sure they are real stainless. I bought a cheap kit before the stainless seemed to actualy peel off.

There is a business close to me on Burbank Blvd... it's called Allen nut and bolt.... they were big suppliers to Lockheed skunk works when they were just up the street... Lockheed has since moved about 120 miles away to Palmdale.. I can go there and they will sell me 100 bolts or nuts for the same cost Pep boys sells 10 for in a package. Down the Street from Allen there was a surplus nut and bolt supplier called Joe Factor sales... they had everything... but it would take hours to find it... no rhyme or reason to how the bins were placed... you could find a 1/4 28 bolt you needed... but then spend another hour finding the correct nut... crazy... they finally went under because of their stupid business practice... but stainless was $3.00 a lb... and Regular steel bolts were $2.00 a lb... sometimes the idiots would sell titanium for the cost of stainless because they would stick it next to a magnet and if it wasn't magnetic they assumed it was stainless.... Whoooo hoooo... titanium bolts and nuts for $3.00 a lb... :p
