Hard to disagree with you.
I may be thinking of a different "occurance", but I remember a new Eliminator waiting to go inside for a show and thieves got the whole boat. Just backed up, hooked up and drove away, several people saw it and no one thought to ask anything, they just acted like they were supposed to be doing it, yelling back and forth acting annoyed because they had to move the boat.

Don't be so happy that somebody got ripped off.
Yes we should all look after our boats.
But my failure to place an armed guard next to my boat does not make it ok for your friends with the sawzalls to come cut the drives off my boat while I am gone.
My sympathy to the dealer whose 36 Eliminator was brutalized. I hope that the people involved in that case are brought to justice.
How 'bout that MTI cat? Anybody hear anything about that cat?

This past weekend I traveled over 1100 miles on I-44, I-40 and I-27 and kept a lookout for the MTI. I did a lot of thinking about how you would move a boat of that size without being caught. The only logical idea I could come up with would be to take a mobile home (14' wide), gut it and put the MTI inside. You could travel the roads with your wide load escort and no one would know the difference.

Maybe I am missing something. What is the hull number, trailer license, vin numbers, drive numbers, etc. A copy of the report posted as a jpg might help. How about the police agency and report number. If it did get stolen and has not been seen on the road, it is probably stripped or in storage. Who is the legal owner and was it insured. Inquiring posters need to know!
I think I agree with scottsumrall; it looks like inside job.
