Weather Forecast

Although I did not take my boat out on Saturday, I was on the lake when the rain hit. It went from 80 degrees and sunny to 60 degrees and a hard rain.

But, this rain will fill the lake and give us plenty of water for next weekend. It's gonna be fun!

Mountain Star Lodge

Robin's Nest

There is also a Holiday Inn Express on RR620, but it's about 10 miles from the dam. The above listed properties are much closer.

I'm afraid I won't be able to make it next weekend because we are already planning a trip there on the 4th of July. Hope to see some of you then.

Holiday weekends in Devil's Cove are insane! There can be 200 to 300 boats in there. It is one HUGE party!

How are the noise police? Looking at making one of your poker runs this summer. Have 2 Skaters with 1100Hp and 1300Hp, no mufflers(very loud). Also, what about speed limits? One boat speed of 150Mph+, the other 170Mph. Any part of the lake to run these speeds?

A couple years ago I saw the carlos and charlie's cat running up and down the lake. Talk about loud! Don't think they got pulled over for noise.

They don't like "race boats" on Lake Travis. The Carlos and Charlies cat boat, and the Carlos and Charlies F2 boat were both pulled over, and told to slow down.
The noise ordinance is not being enforced like it was 2 years ago. As long as you operate in a safe manner, they will leave you alone. If a bunch of 100 mph and up boats start running up and down the lake, it could create a problem for us local boaters. So, please respect the other boaters on Lake Travis so we can all enjoy the best boating lake around!

Being loud is not a problem. However, being unsafe will get you pulled over every time.

The water cops on Lake Travis only care about one thing: public safety. As long as you don't endanger yourself or others, they will leave you alone.

I love 'em!

There is a long straightaway between MM32 and MM40. You should be able to go over 100 there.

Just let me get out in front so that I can watch you pass!
