Nasty, tell her that SHE is the special one..
So far so good. Just stir crazy at this point. Sitting here knowing I got zillions of things I need to be doing, and aside from a dull ache I feel good to go.
Tongue is still numb, but i can at least feel it now. Coulda took the opportunity to pierce it with a screwdriver and thread a plug wire thru it if I had wanted to...
Bleeding is MOSTLY in control. Still having to chomp on damn gauze pads cause they still come out red.
Hungry as all getout. Figure I'll wait till I can feel my tongue, though.
They tell me to forget about doing anything tomorrow but I bet it won't be too bad.
I guess I'll know in the morning.

Actually they tried to yank mine the visit before last. I looked at the x-rays w/ the Doc. No problems no corrosion, no soft spots, stress cracks nothing....I ask " why do you want to pull them " he replied " so you don't have problems w/ them in the future"
I recall thinking .....NOTE TO SELF !!! never go to a Urologist.

Been having problems on and off for 20 years with mine. Problems ranged from sensitivity to infected sac around tooth (supposedly all teeth have these sacs until they come thru and startbeing used)_
Last couple of weeks it was bothering me so I just deicided enough is enough. That, and kids are out of school in a couple of weeks and want to be abel to bail on some work and hang with them some. Rather do it with good feeling teeth.
My insurances really came thru, too. I knew that most of my dental coverage was for 50% and it hasa $25 deductible. I was surprised to learn that my regular 80/20 health policy will cover the two impacted teeth that were removed. The $100 left on the health deductible will be paid by the dental 50/50 and so will the 20% copay. The other two are covered at 50/50 but since the healt paid somuch, I only owe them $27.

And tell Roxie hi. Give her a hug.
Nasty, speaking of sac, have Rox check out my wife's purses (they are called Chik Saks). They are a little too "girly girl" I believe for Roxy's tastes, but they might be something Roxy has interest in. She gets one free of course if she wants one...

Most important things to do;
1) Ice pack, wrapped in paper towel 15 minutes one side, then 15 minutes other side. First 12 hours crucial next 12 helpful.
2) No heavy exertion for 48 hours
3)Do not create a vacuum in your mouth for 48 hours
4)Warm salt water holds. Do NOT rinse or gargle aggressively!
The ice is what prevents the swelling and bruising. You are preventing the normal body response to trauma.
avoiding heavy exertion and vacuum is what helps hold the blood clot in the extraction site. This is essential in avoiding a dry socket.
Of course, smoking can cause you delayed healing and a higher incidence of developing a dry socket. Dry sockets can be treated so if one develops, call your DDS to get numb, curettage the extraction site and create a new clot. Packing with resorbable foam can also help.

Worst pain I've ever had. surgeon said I was the first he'd seen thst got dry sockets in all 4. had to get repacked every 3 days for 3 weeks. first week hurt so bad I couldn't sit or lay down cause the blood pressure throbbed soo bad. I was on like 3 vic.750's at a time and didn't even take the edge off. good luck buddy
BTW: haven't had any problems since healed though, and all pain is gone.
