Looks alot like LoveMachine's Sonic, but it's in Maryland. I like those old Sonics!

With a name like that, you have to pour 12 beers at a time into a bucket and drink with a ...........Ladle!!!:p :D :D

What's to know. One owner, 400 hours, 8 years old, that's about the national average 50 hours per year. New rail, new bezels, all clean, nice cabin, runs excellent and fair price book average 66-70. Selling for 53,000. And will make someone a nice boat. cb

Sounds like a hell of a bargain!

I know that boat.. It was stored at the same High and Dry I keep my boat at. http://www.algroversmarine.com/
In fact, it was for sale for a while for I think $69K. I didn't know the owner personally. I just saw him around the marina during the season. While he was not what I would call a regular user, I have seen the it running around the area. It ran good.
I remember one time maybe 2 years ago. I was running this fairly narrow channel chasing down a large cruiser for a good jump. While I was slowing down ( I know, I shouldn't have slowed down ) to size up the wake, the guy in that Sonic blew by me on my right side and hit the wake while cutting in front of me. I was really pissed off. Had I not slowed down it would have been close. I never saw him again to confront him about it.
The last time I saw it, it had 502's. I also know that 1 drive was just done. I don't remember which side. I just remember it sitting up on blocks with a drive off for a short while. I also remember a couple of guys going for a sea trial with the guy who handles the sales. His name is Mark Landau, 516-546-8880. Maybe he could give you a better history. Thats about all I can remember about it. BUT, I am 100% sure it is the boat...
If you want to talk to me personally, call me on my cell 347-739-0242. I will be around tomorrow all day.

The boat didn't make the reserve on ebay, but the guy who bought it was watching the auction. I really didn't expect it to sell on ebay, i just used ebay as a means of cheap avdertisement.

thanks for the kind words

even when i had an 80mph boat, i still only cruised at 50mph. no reason to beat the chit out of my equipment beacuse you people feel like running full throttle the whole way. i'll meet you there. i know where i'm going.

besides i'd rather relax and have a cocktail.

Looking forward to having you in the Sonic family. I know that you have been looking for a while.

And there is plenty of room for cocktails on that boat!!!!!!!

I am Jealous, that is one sweet ride, mark, your lucky I am broke, or I woulda bought it from Craig that day I was in the shop takin pictures for you!!!!

These boats are great for cruising, and ready to go when you are, I love cruising down the ICW down here next to one, and just listening to the twins Idle, then we hit the inlet, and they are GONE!!!

A few months ago, I was running the no wake zone next to a 45 with triples, and a chick driving, Dad wanted to know what that gay roll bar was for????

baja27 04-01-2004 09:09 AM

Mark,
