Default B I G !! Cat

This is tied up across the river. Top speed is around 50 kts and it's bigger than most of the buildings in Old Town. Hope to get to go on and take a look around on Friday.

"The ship’s systems feature many automated controls, including a docking system that enables Swift to tie up without the aid of tugs in winds of less than 50 knots"

That I'd like to see!

The Swift is powered by four, 10,000-horsepower Caterpillar Co. 3618 diesel engines and is 321 feet long.

Looks like the ship the Navy uses to drag sonar at speeds to look for subs. Jo

The big cat was tied up at a navy base in southern Kuwait just prior to Iraqi Freedom. It was used to bring special ops into the theater. It was very impressive.
