I think Rockit has a cabin but no v berth just opposing benches. I believe it does have a bathroom though.

yeah half cabin with head. Great boat!

LapseofReason 04-08-2004 08:03 PM

What do they want for it? I heard 500K about two months ago so I never called.

AndyOL 04-08-2004 08:22 PM

sounds about right. CB would be the guy to ask. I know the original owner took care of it with open ckeckbook policy. I'm not sure who owned it after him. People know that boat everywhere. It definately turns heads.

It is a beautiful boat

It's a killer boat, I did a search on it here, lots of good reading and I don't think anybody could take better care of a boat than Bob Russell. But on that same note 500K for an old race boat sounds a bit high:D . At least thats the card I would play if I was haggling on the price.

Lapse .... at 6'6" you aren't going to have head room in anything other than a freakin Sundancer or Sunseeker ... I can relate to your problem ... I had a heck of a time finding an offshore boat with sufficient headroom as well !!! What I opted for was finding one with handling and performance characteristics that fit my tastes since I knew I'd never find one with enough room ... Seems that if Reggie was a bit taller ,... the modern offshore would have evolved into a more roomy craft .... since he's so short the darn things are built for midgits !!!

buy a Carver aft cabin...

Look at a Black Thunder, they have 6' 10" cabin.
Also lots of seating.

The 42 OL has decent headroom, you just got to step up to the plate, or, my 4300 Nortech has 6'2" plus at the entry, and about 5'7" at the berth, not as much as the Black Thunder, and has awesome lines to the boat, not puffed up or stuck on. For looks and headroom, OL or Nortech is the way to go. I'll keep looking for you, especially in this neck of the woods, good luck, Jeff
