yes it is the petoskey marina/pier right downtown. the houses that are closed up is called bay view. those house's by rule are only open in the summer. they close all the streets in that area as well. so if you own one you can not have it open year round. summers do rock, crazy dayz is fun as well but you know that.

Yeah I seen that those streets were closed. I like the one house who had painted the frown face on the front door that area sure has some bling bling. Those house's we work on are like 2400 sq ft 3 story starting at $500,000

We probably will be up there about every 3 weeks. We stay for a few days to get our work done. The builder is doing 21 houses a believe.. Only 3 so far we have done.

You guys get excited about seeing water, as opposed to ice............?
Before you start making fun of us in the warmer climes, know this:
I spent 7 years living in Chicago, downtown, and my wife is from Muskegon, where I have spent summers and winters, so I know.
Nice to see you all thawing out and joining the real world soon.

I'm with Bob, WTF is a "Frost Law"? And by the way, it's supposed to be 78* here in the sunny south!

The guys in construction would know better, but it is a regulation that is inforced in the early spring that keeps heavy construction equipment such as cement trucks from traveling on the roads, I guess since things are just defrosting the roads get torn up easier. We tore a house down once and we had to wait because the heavy equipment could not be brought in until a certain date. That's my "girlie" take on it so don't laugh if I did not explain it 100% correctly
