What size fuel tank to size boat?

I've never seen stats on this and thought it would be interesting to see what boat builders are doing to accomodate boat balance and legs for extended running.

I have a 72gal. in my 22' Apache... and the same size in my 27' Excalibur.

I've heard some interesting things so far. Some boat makers put the same size tanks in boats that are much larger and with twins as they do their single engine boats. One example I can think of is a 30'+ boat with twin big blocks that has the same 110 gal tank as their 26-30' model with a single big block! That will sure make for some short legs and many stops on any trip!

Triple 110 gallons on my friends 47' Fountain.

Twin 400 gallon in dad's 530 Carver.
