Um....That boat doesn't have a winshield. Do you mean the purple thing over the dash? It's called a brow.
This is a winshield & yes, the winshield is very effective. Keeps the wind out of your face.
For example, the pic shown is a boat that can go 93. I was on it and asked how fast we were going. I was figuring 75. He said 88.

Nice boats, but I'm still on the fence about graphics on the dash...not that it's a big decision I'll have to make anytime soon. 
I think that I'd prefer a plain white dash with just colored bezels for accents.
