New Orleans tomorrow
Headed down to New Orleans tomorrow morning.
Other than the normal debauchery found on Bourbon St is there any other "must do" things there. Recommended restaurants or hot spots? |
CATS MEOW
My favorite bar in the world, they have rock bands and 3 for 1 Happy Hours:p WILL |
the riverwalk is cool too...lots of shops and good places to eat.

Originally posted by 27Fountain CATS MEOW My favorite bar in the world, they have rock bands and 3 for 1 Happy Hours:p WILL Also, ALL the bars on Bourbon do 3 for 1 bottled beers. If you order a beer, they bring you three, so watch out -- a guy can get drunk going there. As for restaurants, "Bistro at the Maison de Ville" is very good (romantic if you have a date) and just a few feet off of Bourbon on Toulouse. Other suggestions would be: Mr. B's- (Try the Gumbo YaYa(not the seafood gumbo) best you will ever get) Muriel's- (athmosphere is great -- eat in the bar area) See the seance room. K-Paul's- (Paul Prudhomme's place -- great) AVOID all restaurants on Bourbon except Galatoire's... Great, but requires a jacket. |
Awesome
Thanks for the suggestions Went to K-Pauls a few years ago when I was down for Jazz fest...I was going to try and get back. Petunias was also on the list. Last time I was there was for a three days during Jazz fest so its all a little blurry. Im going down with Christine tomorrow, have about 1/2 days work on Monday and we come home Tuesday night. Staying at the Omni as thats were my meeting is. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks |
OK maybe they wern't rock bands, but the girls did ROCK:p

If you like good seafood, try Deanie's in Bucktown, you won't be disappointed. Try the "Dock" on West End, for a good time.
|
And after all of your partying, you can have coffee and beignets(ben-yays)at Cafe' DuMond on the riverfront open 24 hours
