http://www.a-1boattransport.com/

I send some of my smaller stuff(under $100,000) to these guys...Shoot for $1.40

Just remember they only have $100,000(hence the lower rates) in insurance which should have you covered. I would highly recommend contacting them. If you want a truck to tow it youi might get down to $1.25 but fuel is sky high on the west coast. I have a Donzi and Gladiator going out west and the fuel cost pushed the rates through the roof

We pay $1.43-$1.49 in Houston and here are todays rates for California from the Flying J web site:

Fuel Prices current as of 6am April 16, 2004 MST Cash Price*

CA, Bakersfield Hwy 99 Exit Merced Ave. 2.199

CA, Barstow I-15 & Lenwood Exit 2.259

CA, Frazier Park I-5 Frazier Park Exit 2.269

CA, Lodi I-5 & Hwy 12, Exit Fairfield 2.159

CA, Ripon Hwy 99 Exit Jack Tone Rd 2.159

CA, Thousand Palms I-10 Ramon Exit 2.259

vs Texas prices:

Fuel Prices current as of 6am April 16, 2004 MST Cash Price*

TX, Amarillo I-40 Exit 76 1.649

TX, Anthony I-10 Exit 0 1.669

TX, Dallas I-20 Exit 472 1.539

TX, Houston I-45 Richie Rd, Exit 64 1.529

TX, New Caney I-59 & Exit 242 1.509

TX, Orange I-10 Exit 873 1.509

TX, Pecos I-20 Exit 42 1.659

TX, San Antonio I-10 Exit 583 1.519

TX, Tye, I-20 & FM 707 Exit 277 1.589

TX, Waco I-35 & New Road 1.559

This morning I filled up at 4 am at a Citgo on 2920 for $1.43...Tonight when got back about 6 pm I filled up at Flying J I-45 Richie and paid $1.50...These fuel prices are ridiculous

My Nor-tech is shipping to me in Santa barbara or Lake Havasu around the 28th of this month. If you can wait that long I will set you up for pick up and we can share costs. It should be no problem for my driver, he lives in St louis, but I will have to verify if your intrested.

I just checked into this. You can fly out one way on SW for $99 and rent a Penske truck for $900. Total with motels fuel should be around $1600 and 3 days
