Watch that sun exposure Rolly.... I got so many high altitude sun burns skiing years ago... that now I have to have spots frozen off my face... and from the summer sunburns... I now have to have skin cancer dug out of my shoulders... I have a spot on my left shoulder that needs to be removed now.... I had one on my right shoulder removed several years ago... now I have on one my left that has to be removed... I'll have matching scars...

Didnt get burned that bad. Just a little pinkish. I've been worse before. Luckily I had some of a base tan to deal with it. But I wasnt the only one that looked that way.

You haven't had a "real" sunburn until you've been under a blazing sun at 11,000 feet for a day.... it's weird... because the sun on your face feels so good in the cold mountain air... then that evening.... your face isn't pink,,, it isn't red,,, it's purple... and the burn lasts for several days. Then, after the blisters begin to sag... and then pop... your skin starts to peel off in sheets... ... except around your eyes where your glasses were... then you look like a "negative racoon".... That sonny.... is a high altitude sunburn...

Cant say that I've gotten that. Eventhough I have done my fair share of skiing. I have gotten the blistering and peeling sunburns just from the normal sun. Worst one was probably when I was a kid and we went to florida. Now I am at least smart enough to use some sunscreen if I think there is a chance to get burned to bad. If I wont have a chance to moderate sun time and shade time.
