"get your money back from NY "

HAHA, I didn't know it was snowing in hell. What's next, the redsox actually winning the world series?

nice to see things are working out the easier way.

If you gave him a deposit and told him you were going to buy his boat and he then took action on a new boat for himself, what position do you think you put him in?

Is it also possible that he could have meant he would return your deposit if there was problem with his end of the deal (i.e. a problem with the boat)? In most cases, these agreements are only broken if there is a problem with the item to be purchased or financing.

Don't you think it is very possible that he thinks you did him wrong?

I don't know the details, I'm just trying to look at it from both sides of the fence.

again i dont know details, but if you said you couldnt buy his boat for financial reasons, then bought another, i could see where he would be pissed. I would be. if he told you he would return it, then he should.

hope everything gets resolved. btw nice new boat:cool:

I told him at the time for financial reasons but he knows they have changed and I told him I bought another boat when I asked for the money back...yea he is pissed, I would be too but I would give the money back anyway and get on with life, I can not find it advertised anywhere.

If I make a deal and send a deposit on something and change my mind, I don't expect to get the deposit back. But, that's just me and obviously a lot of you don't agree with that. Did you guys have a deal?

I'm having trouble understanding why this guy would accept your deposit (or why you would send it for that matter), if the deal wasn't done pending a sea trial or inspection of the boat. There has to be more to this story.

To call this guy a deadbeat and bash him without knowing his side of the story is unfair in my opinion.
