Default Transom soot cleaning Help

What is the best cleaner for cleaning the transom?? I usually use Simple green on whole boat but the back needs something stronger this time (I let it sit all winter)??

Thanks

WILL

I've used a wax made for removing light oxidation. And it works nice for me. It also leaves some protective wax for easier cleaning next time. But with out useing harsh chemicals, you are looking at some elbow grease.

Starbrite hull cleaner is stronger but still on the mild side of cleaners. I put it in a spray bottle. Keep everything wet with hose, especially your trailer. There has been some good threads in the tech section 3-4 wks ago.

Biokleen has a product called Belly Pan Cleaner & Degreaser that is designed to clean carbon and grease off of snowmobile belly pans. I use it all the time on just about everything. I will emphatically say it will clean your chit

I just tried some Shark Tower from Hammerhead on Saturday and the transom shines like new !

Amazing on the stainless and chrome .

I went for a ride Sunday and the transom came clean
with soap and water. It protects very well.

Good Luck !

I used Frenzy wax on transom, soot now washes right off. Never used to.

Also black streak remover works 100% too.

On/Off......but dilute it with water and wear gloves. Much stronger than starbrite. If you get it on your bare hands, you will know it short time !

Put it in a spray bottle, spray it on, and rinse it off, That easy. If you have some stubborn marks, rub em with a rag, then rinse. This stuff works great and blows starbrite away big time !

On/Off is harmful to your gel coat.

I advise everyone to NEVER use that stuff.
