Ck the lock nut under the ball as stated. Mine came loose but I caught it before disaster.

re: That's a whole lot of piece of mind for little money.
That's what I thought and they can't steal the boat or trailer by unscrewing the nut from underneath like they do even if you have the top latch padlocked. |
You SHOULD have a cotter pin uner your balls nut (man that does not sound right at all.... :D:D )

I have seen the nut come loose too many times. After I torque it down I spot a small weld on there. Some one said "you can never take it off then" , well thats kind of the idea. If you need a new reciver they cost less than $20.00. Thats a bargain for peace of mind.

There is a hitch out there that does not have that lock nut chit in it. It is made by Bulldog and is like a clam shell. I will not tell how many old trailers that got droped using that out dated style couplers. What is a $35.00 coupler compaired to the object in tow. A company called Redneck Trailer Supplies is where iI get the right chit inorder to trailer safely. I have a Tampa PH# (813)628-0000 for them. E-mail is not listed in my catalog. Nothing holdes a candle to this coupler,Nothing.
