Madcow, what style/model are you looking at? I have a pioneer style that I installed, ziptied the reciever under the drivers seat, put the fm modulator behind the radio under the dash, installed a glass mounted antenna behind pass seat, and put the controller in my roof console area, looks really clean and you cant see anything that looks out of place except the antenna.

Check out crutchfield.com. They have a number of units that fit the GM hole in the dash.

If you can use a DIN sized unit, Alpine just came out with a unit that has the XM receiver built into the head unit.

if you go aftermarket in dash you will still need receiver installed and maybe even an fm modulator, depends on system, I think. Also on the newer trucks with factory xm you can not just buy xm reciever head and get xm, you need a receiver and antenna hardware and all that crap, mucho expensive that way.
