I had both a 28' skater w/ 2.5 and a 30' spectre w/ 300x's. 28' skater is a faster boat in the calm water but 28' skater can't hang with the spectre in any kind of water long distances. Both are great boats. I,ve missed them both.

I really think that when you compare the 28' Skater with the 30' Spectre (both fine boats), it really comes down to the driver. For every race there are generally varied conditions throughout the race (calm and rough). Where the 28' might pickup a little in the calmer areas, the 30' will pickup a little in the rougher areas. Oh well, that's racing.

Maximus, can you private message me your phone number. We have been going round and round with new power for my boat. We are probably going to go with Turbines from Firestorm turbines in Canada along with Arnesons. I need to know if your friend can steer us in the right direction. I'm planning on having Larry Goldman along with John Aruda to the install.

If money is no object Turbines and Skater what a ride..and it is possible not a pipe dream ...too cool,...runs on gas or diesel?
what have you stuffed turbines in? Can you put a single in a 28' boat like a Pantera?

Are you building a new boat ? or are you going to install turbines in you 35' motion ?
You should stop by my shop in Pompano and check out the boats in progress.
Also I can run a turbine on the dyno for you.
