Ex V Looking at a Cat

I am looking at Nor-Tech cat and I'm not sure about the handling characteristics of the cat versusu a V. Any feedbak would be welcomed. Thank you.

Spine Tingler 04-30-2004 10:55 PM

That is sticker shock! I'm more concerned about how I should drive the boat.

Downtown42 04-30-2004 11:05 PM

Don't drive it like you do your golf cart!!!
:eureka:  :p

Spine Tingler 05-01-2004 08:19 AM

That's a good idea. By the way are you going to actually have a boat to drive this year. Just kidding. I'll see you at Hooker High

Donzi Corleone 05-01-2004 09:19 AM

You'll love the cat once you understand the do's and dont's.......The speed is unparrelled in boating..I too made that choice and now I'm so glad I bought the cat. The first couple of months are the hardest. Take it in steps, and you'll be fine. seat time is everything on these boats. Like they say "ONCE YOU GO CAT,U NEVER GO BACK"

I say hire a captain, so you can drink more, and to hell w/ the handling.

SummerObsession 05-01-2004 12:26 PM

Yes they do!
Oh, and if they are built west of Denver, they are unstable.:o :o :D :D

jeez, i crack myself up.

Downtown42 05-01-2004 12:37 PM

SummerObsession 05-01-2004 02:08 PM

I'm not bashing them at all.
That was just a light-hearted jole referring to T2X's comment.:D ;)

SummerObsession 05-01-2004 02:09 PM

Oh yeah... all the women out here on the 'Left coast" think they are somehow "incomplete" unless they make themselves inherently "unstable" by adding ballast to the top half..........:D

Sandisk 05-01-2004 02:37 PM

ballast D DD DDD DDDD

tell me when we have enough ballast Reed

Sandisk 05-01-2004 02:44 PM

Oh as for a Cat

If you can $$ a Cat and have interest in Nor Tech Cat

Then do it!

A Cat is lot of fun

My take:

Don Aronow was into them!

Reggie Fountain has worked with them!

The Arenson boys like a Cat walk turbine style!

The common theme is they all like V's too! It's a nice thing to have some diversity I think! Having both would of course be best!

Sandisk 05-01-2004 03:52 PM

I am with you on "both" of these issues Reed

Don

I have to agree the first time you drive a cat you may think what the hell did I do but it will always be hard to go back to a V.

carreraboat 05-02-2004 08:14 AM

Does anyone have any feedback on a 28 profile cat

Welladjusted
If you want to know about how the Nor Tech handles give me a call (561 644 9234) I can put you in touch with the right guys. All I can say is from the back seat @ 120 mph the boat felt like it was on rails.
