Lake George or Lake Champlain???????
Which do you like better and why?
I've been to George but not Champlain. Keep in mind we are performance boaters. Anyone have a summer place at either lake? Thanks for your opinions. Dave (toolman) |

Lake Champlain;
-No Crowds or Traffic -15 miles x 120 miles -no speed or noise rules too stringent -Beautiful Mountains, Crystal Clear water also :D -5 or 6 beaches with 3' of water that go out for at least 1/4 mile all sand (for every wind direction) -descent rough stuff if the wind is from the North or South; it can get a descent sized boat flying. -dozens upon dozens of sheltered spot to anchor for the night and sleep on your rig with good holding and no prying eyes. Lake George; -I have not been there often enough but it's an awsome place also like F583 says: Originally posted by formulaz583 If you want Beautiful Mountains, Crystal Clear water, and are willing to follow the strict noise and speed rules. |

Mountains...
Actually this is toward the South of the Lake looking West and across that range is Lake George about 5 miles away. No water connection however. |
