dang lake ate it
Pulled into the slip, lifted boat, where's my cell fone?
I guess it fell off when I got out of the boat, this sucks bad. :( |
Been there done that..... My worste weekend was when I lost 3 cell phones in 2 days. First one fell out of my pocket while up on a lader. Next one I was replacing wheel bearings on the trailer and the power went out just as I was finished. I picked up all the tools and hit the road. I figured I would test the breaks. I hit them and hear this wierd noise. Bring it back up to speed and try again... no funny noise. Next day I realize what the funny noise was... Back to the phone store to get another phone. I am then driving across the lake and hit a wave and the phone that is on my dash launches up in the air and hits the motor and lands in the well. I am pumped as I figured it was gone. So I am jumping over the ski pilon and a guy witha boat drives right off my stern and the water swamps the well and the phone is JUNK. I average about 1-2 phones a year :(

yeah those nextel insurance people love me ...my past phones = :fish: :fish:

Yeah , I watched one go between the dock and the boat , hit the water and sink out of sight. It all looked like slow motion , but I just couldn't move fast enough:rolleyes:. Plus I really didn't feel like getting myself caught between there:(

I dropped one in a condo I was working in putting up crown molding. The only place in the whole friggin unit that had water was a 5 gallon drywall compound bucket that was about half full. Guess where it landed.
Water and cell phones just don't mix very well. |
dropped mine in my bilge while changing the oil once. It had just rained earlier that day, and yes there was water in the bilge, enough to cover the phone. As I'm contorting myself to reach it, it RANG!!! Managed to get it before the caller hung up. He said I sounded like I was under water. I took the face off and hit it gently with compressed air. Works fine to this day.
Now work pagers on the other hand.... there are several at the bottom of the Municipal boat ramp in Grand Haven. Glad I didn't have to pay for those.:D |
