Is that the boat that Biggus was selling for a friend?

Ran-Dom 32 05-03-2004 02:50 PM

yup - thats the boat, the mechanical part was a breeze, the bottom paint tuned out to be a real pain, but well worth it. (having trouble downsizing the pics.)

rainmn 05-03-2004 02:52 PM

Thought so. I was considering it myself, but moved too slow. Didn't help that we had a baby the weekend it went up for sale.
So what did you do with the motor? Rebuild or replace?

Ran-Dom 32 05-03-2004 03:08 PM

motor was fine - lower intake water passage was corroded from salt water, welded her up & it was good to go.

Looks great Randy!

I'm glad it has gone to a good home.

How about some more pics?

Kurt.

You could have at least lied to me, and told me it was completely shot. :D
Looks great minus the bottom paint by the way.

I know Biggus is often full of chit... is that why the boat is that high on the trailer, so as to keep it clean? :D :D :D Or is a 4WD trailer? Ya need to spread them bunks out a chine or two. :D :D :D

Great work. :D

out for a run yesterday

Drinking and driving   :(

Hope the beer was for the ride up the trailer.

She sure looks much better without the bottom paint! That's one nasty job isn't it? I've done it a few times before on a previous boat that stayed in the water. (NOT a go fast. ;) ) Always went back with new paint so prep was easy. How did you get the shine back in the gelcoat?

Audiofn 05-07-2004 07:31 AM

Does not even look like the same boat. I was always sad when I looked over at that boat to see how she took care of it (or didn't). Glad it has found a new home and hope you enjoy it.

Jon

30 hours of sanding & wet sanding & polishing:mad: -now with the paint removed the boat is like 5 mph faster & bumping the rev. limiter. 5200 :D

Macklin 05-08-2004 06:25 AM

Awesome! Get you a bigger prop and gain some more speed!! :D Call Throttle Up. They may have a test prop you can try. ;)

Thanks for the update Randy!

The Donzi looks great!

glad she found a loving home.

Kurt
