Marc don't take my post the wrong way, I was'nt implying that you and Bob are pocketing money from the run in any way. I was just curious how the charity part of Howards run was set up and used SOTW as a comparison.
I have no problem with the 1000.00 entry fee, and in comparison to some other runs once you add a couple of people to the boat there is not much of a difference in price. If my schedule works out right I intend to do the run again, but the dates just have'nt worked for me.

Re: Poker Run on Lake Charlevoix?
The plans for Boyne Thunder, the poker run that begins in Boyne City and continues through Lake Charlevoix and on to Beaver Island and Bay Harbor (with additional stops) are now complete. All of the details, as well as the application, are available at www.boynecity.com/thunder. You can also email directly at [email protected].
Highlights of the two-day event include the 120-mile offshore poker run, a jet ski poker run in Lake Charlevoix, a wooden boat show, sailing regatta, Lake Charlevois Champagne Cruise, Friday dinner and strolling nautical auction at Garretts on Water Street, and a Saturday grand finale Thunder Feast dinner and pub crawl. Great Prizes!
