What Is The Name Of This Song

Jay-Z, has the Knight Rider beat, has a reggae guy in the chorus.

It plays in the background of the Moutain Dew commercial with Steven Segal.

I cannot find the name of it. Help!

i'll have to check the cd collection. there have been several made w/ the Knight Rider intro music. one in particular that comes to mind is by Busta Rhymes.

BLee 05-07-2004 12:58 PM

I have that one. Cool song. This one isn't quite as "Knight Rider" as the Busta song, but you can hear it.

It is pretty new and hard as hell to understand the guy in the hook.

jawbreakerkid 05-07-2004 01:02 PM

Fresh off the heels of the Newsweek Article extolling that Desis have changed the way we eat, dress, work and play, Mountain Dew is apparently trying to capitalize on this trend. I just saw a Mountain Dew commercial featuring Steven Segal in an Indian run convenient store where he puts the inadvertent beatdown on everyone in the store while Panjabi MC's huge huge huge crossover hit (yes, it was a hit way before Jay-Z got on it) Mundian to Bach ke plays in the background.

Who would have thought that one day Bhangra would be the music of choice on soft drink commercials in America?

Jawbreaker, Magu does sound like a cartoon character, in on of the videos off that cd 5-6 years ago they had him as a cartoon in the video. That CD has some sweet beats. Track 14 has the night rider beat I believe.

It has changed the way I eat, dress, work and play and I don't even know what a Desis is?

What the hell is a Desis?

Sydwayz 05-07-2004 03:49 PM

If the term they are using is Desi... Desi is another term for being Indian, as in West Indian.

What the hell is a Desis?

It's changed the way I yell "MARLBORO! CIGARETTE! SMOKEY SMOKEY!" "HOW THE FVCK DID YOU GET THIS JOB".

Reed Jensen 05-07-2004 04:43 PM

That isn't music... it's a click track played in a loop and someone mumbling words to the sound.... :hothead:

Ahhh.
I gotcha.
At the hospital we call them "Doctor."
