Fire Island N.Y.??
 

I have been looking online for a place to stay on fire Island. WTF...Every hotel seems to have communal bathrooms and no ammenities!! Do any of you South Shore L.I. guys know any where to go(by boat) and spend the weekend in comfort?

Watch Hill and Davis Park areas are nice. Both have marinas for the boat. I dont know of any hotels in the area as we always rented a house

I stayed at this place last year. It was pretty decent. There is a marina right there.

You'll need to stay on the boat in Watch Hill, probably the best place I've stayed. Misquitos are killer though so be prepared for them. I'll have to dig up some pics.
Watch Hill can be tough to get a slip on weekends, no reservations. When you get there slip the dock master a few bucks and get a slip on the west side of the marina. Early in the AM deer come right up to the docks.
There is a little more at Davis park, not sure if they have rooms though.
