Question Need Help Choosing First Boat

I'm thinking about getting my first boat. It will be mainly for SE FL intracoastal and ocean boating with a possibility of a Bahamas run once in a while.
I have not looked at any boats in person yet. I would like a boat in the 29' range. From researching on the internet, I have narrowed it down to the Formula, Fountain and maybe Velocity.
I'm leaning towards twin engines just because of the chance Bahamas cruise.
What options should I make sure I get?
Anything else I should consider?

If you are going to be boating in the ocean some I would strongly consider a 28' Pantera. They are located in S. Florida and very customer friendly. It will most likely be the next boat I purchase.

I would say that for a first time boat the Formula is your ticket. They handle VERY well and are predictable. VERY safe and fast. They also have some of the best resale value on the market. Formula's customer sapport is also second to NON. I would go single just to keep the costs down.
