Can't find it online, but heard a short news piece last Friday that refineries had decided not to increase gasoline production (they implied to keep prices up but of course never siad that). The short was that they were keeping the mix low in gas instead of ramping up as usual after the winter fuel oil season ended. Anyone else see that article?

Right now June Unleaded is @ $136.6 and has been as high as 137.30 today. It's rising again.

Crude opened around 39.82 and has risen to 40.77 currently. It has gone as high as 40.95 today. They are running hand in hand.

Bringing back the fuel CRISIS of 1973. Look at the history. It will tell you what you want to know. Lots of BIG gas guzzling vehicles of the 60's created a fuel crisis. Same as today. Still more economical vehicles now than then but, more population and more drivers than then as well.

The price of gas doesn't bother me as much as the taxes tacked on. About $.60 per gallon in NY I'm told.
