Although I'm sure there are some good ones out there, I refuse to have my work done by anyone other then me. After boating for almost 45 years, I am so anal, and so picky that I would find something wrong
Seriuosly, I have been burned like everyone else, and I just figured I can screw things up just as good as anybody...and its cheaper. The thing that bugs me the most are the little things...not tightening bolts/clamps, dirt/grease smudges, simple things you would think paying someone for would get done, but somehow get missed. Not making deadlines/dates is a biggy, and the the dog and pony show that follows. I cringe when I hear of guys waiting months to get something simple fixed. Now I do it the hard way, but its my way.
Best of luck to you and Sean...tell him I said hi!!

Dan

I would drive to the end of the driveway, I do my own work in my driveway, if you want it done right you have to do it yourself.

The folks that worked on my boat before I got it did some great stuff. Missing fasteners in the engine mounts, missing fasteners on the drives, broken and leaking oil lines, bad water lines, etc. The shop I'm talking about is supposed to be one of "The Best" shops around the Bay Area. It probably is and that's exactly why I'll do it all myself.

Man Terra, that was some shameless self promotion!

I need a new marketing rep. Will Sean let you moonlight?

I seem to recall you wouldn't even drive that far to buy a boat. NK
