Lake Michigan Today

What a day! Sunny and 1 footers. It don't get no better than that for me. I was out for the first time this year. My new D.U.I distributor gave me a 1 mph increase in speed over the stock worn out one. 64.5 gps is the best I have ever seen. Had fun racing a 25th Anniversary 272 Baja. He passed me so I shoved the stick forward and was able to catch him and get ahead of him. I think he was surprised. Any other West Michigan boaters out today? I launched out of Dunton Park in Holland. I saw a few boats I knew. By the time we came in around 3:45 there were quite a few boats out. Beautiful day, finally. :) Almost made me forget about paying $220.9 for midgrade. Almost.

Seems like we've had nothing but rain of late so the rather nice day was very welcome. Hope this kind of weather is here to stay for a while. Sounds like you had fun!

Hi, Playn

Are you from Hudsonville? I recognize your boat in the avatar. Nice 250!

Doug, that looks like BGIII's old boat. But it's not. Playn is from the other side of the state.

Funny, my phone didn't ring today....... :)

Hi, Mike

I dragged my young son with me today. I bribed him by taking him to the Dome World batting cages on the way home.

I'll give you a call after you get back from LOTO.

See ya, Doug

MACDAD260, Were on the other side of the state as Foul said. The boat was originally from the area (Zeeland/Hudsonville) and the boat was over in Zeeland for the past several weeks having some work done though.

Playn, Good luck over there. If you ever get back here give me a shout. Lots of good boating on the West side.

See ya, Doug

We had a good group out on primal instinct and the playboy cigarette. Personnal bests for both captains despite full tanks, no waves and five big guys in both. 95 and 82.5. The air is still a little cool at 95 over 55 degree water but we were warm in our hearts. :) NK

Input any temperature below 45º Fahrenheit along with a wind speed that is greater than 5 miles per hour.

Wind Chill Calculator:

Enter in the air temperature ( 44 ) in degrees Fahrenheit and wind speed in mile per hour ( 95 ), then click on the Calculate WC to compute the windchill ( WC ). Air Temperature (ºF) = 44
Wind Speed (MPH) = 95

Wind Chill Index ...28*

I made it out on Sunday also. We ran to Saugatuck and back and I finally got my trailer right. Now it is ready for LOTO. The Lake was perfect and flat. I can't wait until it is warmer.

Re: Lake Michigan Today

It turned out really nice, it started off easy and as we got into it it was a bear. I replaced all the bunks, painted it and made a new V block and tire carrier. Tonight it gets lights and the boat sits perfect on it. I can't believe the damage keeping it in the water does, never again for more than a day or so. I have hours of cleaning everything from the scum to the birds and bugs. What a mess!! My Props are all dull from the water and the drives are all gooped up. The bottom is yellow also, what can I use to get rid of that yellow stain????

Mitch try some shower power! I can get you a # for a guy that has a slip with a lift in it for rent I kept my Sonic in it a couple years.

Downtown42 05-17-2004 04:57 PM

Re: Lake Michigan Today

Zing is good but strong. Starbrite hull cleaner and hose is mild and will remove mild yellow stain.
