June 26th Red Eye Run Canceled ? ? ?
 

DAMN IT ! Please somebody tell me it ain't so. I've been bugging the people at Mears Pt. Marina for info ( entry form) for months, each time they've told me no details or forms yet but it's on. Yesterday a different person answers the phone and says "it's canceled for lack of a sponsor" . I had a whole group of old boating buddies in Baltimore that I've been promising to take on this run since I missed it last year. Anybody know what the hell is going on? It was still listed in the latest PRA calendar, and the people who went last year raved about it. :(

If you are referring to the Thunder on the Bay Poker Run, I have heard that it is off too. :( I was actually considering it too; pending obtaining a loan for the entry fee. :D

This weekend I got word from two very reliable sources that there will not be any Thunder On The Bay Poker Run on the Chesapeake Bay in the end of June.

It appears as though one of the primary sponsors has backed out and the event organizer isn't interested in carrying the majority of the financial burden alone.

Then lets all just meet at the Red Eye that weekend and take the place over, who is in.

www.cbpba.com is hosting the "Central Poker Run" on July 17th. It starts and ends at Red Eyes/Mears marina. Come on out and join us. Much cheaper than Thunder on the Bay and it's still a blast.

Also, The CBPBA is hosting the Leukemia Poker Run that same weekend as Thunder on the Bay was suppose to be June 26-27. The two Poker Run's have been hosted the same weekend for the last couple of years, come on out for a good cause and a great party. www.cbpba.com

Bob, It's the same weekend as Canal Day. Aren't you getting you usual spot this year?? i have a wedding on saturday, so i can't make it this year. :hothead:

June 26th & 27th is the NJPPC Atlantic City Overnight Poker Run.

Works for us. Any excuse to go to Red Eyes will work. But to meet fellow OSO members makes it even more worthwhile :drink:

Man that blows i was really looking forward to this run. I had such a blast last year on it.
