That hurts just to look at it . Had a buddy hit some concrete and it split the the case on a foot made it up river and he had me look at and I told him he was not going to make it back . if he wanted a new out drive to run it hard on the way back so it would finish it off . It lived and the Insurance only paid to replace the foot :eek: It was cracked open in the torpedo of the foot.

Back in '94 my dad and I hit a telephone pole in the hudson river in his 33 Blackfin . luckily is just bounced off us but took out the searay behind us. I hit some logs in my day. almost ripped the motor off my 13 whaler when i was 10.

Out in Puget Sound we saw a Lazy-Boy floating. Just think about hitting that. I swearved to mis what I thought was a log or tree stump once, tuned out to be a sea lion. Rag's

Never seen a hole forest before. Were they girl holes or guy holes?

I pulled a floating 19" television, complete with built-in VCR, from the canal last year. Plugged it in...didn't work.

We had an overloaded log barge flip, 1000 trees floating in lake MI. Hundreds of hits. I can say in 30 years of boating the only thing I have ever hit was a flock of Ducks in the middle of a river. We ran our river at night and used the tree line to follow it. THat looks sad, it really broke clean. It looks like the bars are ok.

The hit was off the side like the steering was to starboard.
The k planes were down a little they seem to be ok.
Completely spaired the other drive. With exception of the Prop.
Rik at Arneson is taking good care of me. Dana at Twindisc
is also saving my A##. The power of this board is incredible
if anyone knows of anyone having parts on these old Arneson Second/ Effort
Dropbox style Please let me know.

I have been boating for years never really hit anything.
Or atleast never felt it. Occasional prop nicks in sand.
This was just Bad Luck.

Hey all you Florida Dealers Does anybody have anything like
these left over from the eighties????
Second Effort was making these in Florida in the eighties.
Are there any salvage boat yards down there that may have
parts. Wishful thinking I know.

Please Help I need parts.

We call the Delaware river the Lumber yard, you will find railroad ties to full blown trees flowing down the river. Two years ago we heading into the Delaware bay and there was a steel drum with large chains attached to it floating around!
