Yeah , I know...oximoron , right?
Well every once in a while my wife comes up with a good idea. After hitting some wood last thurdays with my LWP and got some lodged in the hose in the transom assy , water would get by but not force it out. Twice , I removed the drive and hooked the garden hose inside to back flush it. Well my wife said "how about some water and compressed air? Here's my result :) It not only worked ....it was like a friggin water cannon :eek: She's applying for a patent :D |

What keeps the compressed air from pushing the water back up the garden hose?

I hate to burst your bubble... but these have been around for years... they are used to pressure back flush radiators and cooling systems... I've used it with hot water to power flush out contaminated oil coolers... :blaster:

Also had a gate valve on the end of the garden hose. Shutting that off would stop any back up.
