That's what I'm counting on!!!! My 502MAG's have a little over 700 hours on them and I had to do a valve job on one of them. They all run pretty strong now!

I might take offense to that except I've come to realize that all the go fasts are running 80mph because they're in a hurry to park next to me in PC!

I had a 1980 Ski Tique I sold in 1997. The hour meter broke at 1724 hours around 1989 or 1990. Thats high hours :D

Buck,

Don't let him get to ya !!! Your hours are average at best. I have more than that, but 60% of my actual hours are at no wakes speeds due to all the no wake zones between the lakes up here. Plus, you take great care of your boat. Nothing is neglected. That motor will run well past 500 hours before needing any teardown type work.

So what are you buying to replace the Scarab ?? Or did I miss something??

See Ya at the Shootout,

Dave

Looking at hours is like looking only at milage on a car.... Plenty of guys can ruin a new car, or new boat in 10 hours.

A low hour boat is a low hour boat.
Want "low"? We just took a Fountain in with 4 hours on it! I guess that is a low hour boat.

We typically call a boat low hour if it has less than 40 per year.....

We have a one year old Cig with 55 hours. Is that high hours?

It all boils down to how strong your boat runs on sea trial...

My personal boat (for sale) has 345 hours. I wouldn't call that low, or high. Maybe "good". Maintenance was always very good and the engines were not run WOT all the time...

Tell that guy that your boat has good hours and was well maintained...

Re: How many hours is considered high?

These are low hours compared to mine, I run 100 per season. Hour meters are a joke anyway. If you leave the key on the hours tick away and if they are unplugged (which most are at one time or another) you are way off. The only thing an hour meter should be used for is maintenance such as fluid changes. If you are biasing usage off them you are only getting 1/10th of the story.
