SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
Saw an Outerlimits trailering westbound on Edinger Ave today in Huntington Beach, toward Huntington Harbour. Looked like a 42 GTX. I think the name on the side was 'Resonance'.
Anyone know this boat ? |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
Hmmmmmmmmm.........
|
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
What's up Nort ? . . .
You have SOMETHING on your mind, with the 'Hmmmmm' thing . . . ? ? ? Do you know the boat ? |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
In any case, it was the first time I have actually seen an Outerlimits ( although I was eastbound looking at a westbound boat ) . . . pretty impressive at first glance.
I can almost understand ( just by looking ) how a boat like that could be damn near as fast as a Fountain. . . . very impressive indeed. |

I used to like you :D :D :D |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
I haven't seen you on the board that often... Nice to see you again... How are the Poochies?
|
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
Wasabe - you still DO like me . . . you just don't know how much.
Agenda for post #4 - I drive a Fountain, and own stock in Orville Redenbacher Inc. Poochies are MONSTERS at nine months. Male is going 90+ lbs. All is good. |

All is good. Comment 2 I was kidding. :D :D :D |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
Orville Redenbacher is a popcorn manufacturer.
I'll have to post new pics of pups. I'm glad you were kidding. I was going to use my 'reputation points' as a reference for a job interview. |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
It was prolly Sonance ... it was in Havasu for the poker run.
|
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
I also think it sounds like the one that was in Havasu. It was blue and red and I think someone said it was a 47'.
Definitly looked fast but never ran on Saturday. |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
very nice boats thats for sure
|
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
"Sonance" - that was it. . . blue and red. Big as hell.
|
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
Dude, how is it you see EVERYONE on the road!? You live on the road or what??
That OL staying in SoCal? |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
I didn't see YOU on the 405 . . . and I woulda figured a green ogre would stand RIGHT out.
Were you headed north or south ? |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
You would've saw me if you were looking :drink: I was south from Sunset then got off right before the 10 because the traffic was HORRID! Cut through west LA to Malibu and up the coast home.
I saw Norts big 'ol Formula about a mile down the freeway, I swear that thing sits on the trailer like a diamond on a setting. :D |

Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
I saw it being built at the factory. It has 600 gl fuel tanks for long distance runs. I believe it's a 45' boat. Sort of one of a kind.

Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
600 gal x 7lbs....4300lbs

Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .

Were you headed north or south ? Boy aren't we just the wipper snapper! :) I haven't seen anybody as we have no boat! I saw the ocean today and I became depressed. |

Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
2 Attachment(s)
twin 1400hp Pfaff twin blower motors.
It won't be slow..... Here's some shots from the factory. |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
Yeah, Man - that's the boat I saw. . . WOW ! - and I never much cared for OL's . . .
( outside the GTX ). Must have been coming from / going to Pfaff. They're right around the corner from where I saw the boat. This board is excellent. . . a simple inquiry, and I get not only meat - but potatoes too. |
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
1400's should puff it right along
|
Re: SoCal Outerlimits GTX . . .
That would be Scott Struthers boat. He owns Sonance Audio (Home theater systems).
He met Joe Bacca (Of Precision Marine) at DSM some years ago when he had a white and red 37OL. Joe took the time to show him how to drive an offshore boat "Correctly" and Scott had Joe do all the rigging on his newest OL. I can tell you that Scott, although soft spoken, has done some very great things to promote this sport on the West Coast. He put up the money for the 2002 Stars and Stripes Poker run and gave away allot of money and prizes. He got very little credit during that event which is unfortunate considering his investment. He was going to build this OL back when DSM was running, but the owners of DSM kept trying to get him in a Skater, as opposed to what he really wanted, Oops!!! Scott and Joe together have invested time and energy into the R&D of Scotts boating projects, and remind me of the old Alcone and Gentrey teams. Glad to hear the boat is home in CA and congratulations to both Mr. Bacca and Mr. Struthers on such a piece of art. |
