I've been so screwed up with this kidney stone ordeal, I haven't got a clue what even happened in Marathon. Guess I'd better get off my a$$ and find out.

Unhappy Re: Is Formula out of racing???

They'll be supporting the GLSC and maybe some selected national APBA events, but with the overall raceboat fleet now divided among 3 sanctioning organizations, none of the shows are big enough to justify the expense of Formula's formal road show. You'll see more of them at Poker Runs and Owners' Rendezvous events.

In the end, Formula proved to be more professional than any of the "organizers"/"sanctioning bodies".

well the F2 fleet was not divided...and it seems GM still thinks the APBA is where it's at...

i'll REALLY miss racing pat and jeff this year...but at least formula won't be around to claim my props! they are "professional" like that.

Without trying to speak for Formula - It's not just the size of the F2 fleet that matters, it's the size of the overall show. Big fleets bring bigger crowds, meaning more people to see the product, thereby making the expense of the road show worthwhile.

Since Formula didn't run a factory-entered boat, it would have to be one of your fellow competitors who filed the claim on your props. It shouldn't matter anyway - those were the rules going in, right? I don't see how that could be considered unprofessional.

Anyway - it's a shame they won't be around as they have been for five years. Their layout really looked great. Hopefully, their teams will still participate.
