G.L - good news - my boat doesn't sound like it's dragging a bicycle behind it any more.

Power good thing you started this thread. I may get my post count over 200 today.
Yes its too bad i cant for today. Our plans have changed a bit, we have a family thing on saturday, so we may miss the mini run, but we will be out sunday for sure and the wife wants to do an overnighter sunday weather permitting. At this point its looking good.

I told you, there is nothing a big chain, a tree and a head start can't fix.

Power, just got off the phone with a guy from West Marine, and he said that the windshield will not affect signal. He said anything moisture related will affect it, so dont mount it anywhere that you might lean over it.

182C mounted on the Top Gun in the forward compartment in front of the V-berth. So it is actually underneath the deck. Get excellent reception.

Garmin 2006 will not see thru fiberglass. May have something to do with WAAS enabled devices or differential antennas. The lower end units seem to see thru fiberglass dash and the units with larger mushroom antennas dont see thru fiberglass. Worse yet, I have never seen a better looking antenna to replace the mushroom type.
