yes they are I passed them last night on the way to the launch I think they burnt some fuel with the JCI guys before they left!!Happy boating be careful...

Yep, we burnt some fuel last night. 7 boats for the first monthly JCI run.

me and the buddy venomous were runnin flat out at 64mph and mitch was on cruise control taking his time ( but still ahead of us :rolleyes: )

after dinner, kept tellin Mike to stop talking and go potty so they could get heading for home and pack.

I got my engine on last night. All 3 fired up on the hose. Sea trial tonight. I can finally splash. I would have been there if I could have. Glad it was a good time.

most of the runs scheduled on wednesdays are traditionally the "guys" but there are always exceptions, especially if daddy duty would have kept you from boating. so all are welcome.

we do have some specific runs with the kids. if Mike did not forward the schedule to you I will.

I snapped an axle in IL, thats where the boat is right now. It all happerned 1/2 mile from an exit and there was a spring and axle shop right there. I talked to them this morning and they are on it. I felt it was better to leave it than try it on 2 axles. Otherwise the trip was fun. The weather was great and the Party Cove was a riot. The boat thing was a pain but at least it is in good hands.

I know how that goes, same here. On the way home I was really wondering what could really go wrong next. The shop says they see this a lot and the other two are fine. They are going thru the bearings for me. He says the 3000lb rating is enough for the boat since there are 3. He was really nice and should get it done in a few days....then it is back to IL. It was only 3 hours so I can live with that, then I am going to feel better, :)

Mitch, Do you have any idea what caused the axle to break? I'm just curious, i broke one last year and don't want to go through that bs again. The only thing i could think of was when you first start backing down a ramp the rear two axles come off the ground putting all of the pressure on the front axle eventually causing a stress fracture and then failure. That's assuming your front axle broke and you have torsion axles that won't allow for that much of an uneven surface.

I have no idea, the roads suck there and I did hit a few good bumps. Mine do the same when I back into a ramp but that is for just a second. I wish I knew, I will ask and let you know. It broke clean right between the two U bolts. I hope to find out from them.

Those are definetly NOT 3,000lb axles! They are at least 5, if not 6k axles.
