Ski Pylon

I am looking to install a Ski Pylon in my 42 Fountain. Does anyone know of some aftermarket Pylons or some examples of some installations. I am getting ready to pull a skier in the Catalina Ski Race and I am looking for a tall pylon to be mounted. I’m hoping for something removable when not in use.. Thanks for any help.

Just randomly thinking here...
I would go for some permanent mount under your rear seat, that you could pull a pin, and remove the pylon when not in use. If you wanted to get real custom, you could have a new rear seat made with a hole for the pylon; however, for the Catalina race, I doubt you would need to have the rear seat cover in place.

P.M. Bad Girl
They own the 42 Fountain that has the Catalina race as part of it's history. The boat still has this setup and he may have some pictures to send you.

If you don't hear back feel free to contact me and I can let him know what you need. I check the board a little more often

BTW have you chopped of the 4 or 6" from the beak :p

Thanks for the reply. They have changed the length rule and you can now run upto 43 feet. No buzz saw today.
