Dreamer 17psi is a ton. I think the poppet valve opens lower then that. My pressures are not the same either, left side is higher 3-4lbs

Yeah I know its a ton. I have a set of 14 1/2 x 34 3blades that were done by Bob Titus with performance propellor. I lowered the motors to get these props to hook up better, they did not work to well. I put my 15x34's back on last weekend but obviously need to raise the motors more. I am trying to set the boat up for a radar run this Saturday, but according to the weather man, that might not even be necessary. A friend of mine just ran 112 with my 15x34's on his 30 Spectre w/300x's. He has 12" of setback with hydraulic plates, he was running them so high his guardian mode kicked in. My goal is to take out his 112 top speed.

Thats haulinin a 30 Spectre. How does the boat work in the snott with all that setback?
Id look for a clog in the cooling system. At speed your forcing water through the system more than at idle when your relying on your pumps.
Keep us informed

To be honest with you, I was not there at the radar run when he did it. He does have a picture that shows just a tad under 112 so you can say 111.8 if you want. Everyone was putting up big numbers that day, maybe a strong tide . Another 30 spectre with triple 260's ran 115 with gas and 3 people in the boat. He does not run the boat out in the bay or anything so the largest waves we see are 2 footers on the Potomac River.

Has anyone ever tried hull mounted water pickups on a 28 Skater or similar boat??

That is flying in a spectre he is running 300x's though. You and I are stuck with these 300 promax's that make 30 less HP per motor. To your credit. 110 with your Motion and 300 Promax's means more to me. That is pretty incredible.

I worked hard on tru hull pickups on my last boat a 3 motor hydra tech cat. I is pretty much a wash, the pickups cost some speed but the motors can be higher. On that boat I picked up a lot of trash in the nosecone inlets so the tru hulls provided some measure or reliably.
I think on your boat they are not needed

Yea us poor boys are stuck with those old fishing boat motors. I did have the rev limiters reset by repair as they kicked in at 6100rpm. But with the 34s I never see over 6400rpm.
With the 15x34s are you hitting the rev limit ?
