LOTO Fires!!!
 

for those of you who boat at LOTO, just letting you know that the Big Easy burned early sunday (5/30/04) morning and Eclipse Gentlemen's Club burned this morning (6/3/04) as well.

we are taking donations for adopt-a-stripper. we really need to help these girls out......so much energy, so much drive, but no place to dance.... :( :( :( :)

GA- yes it was full of jello, at least that is what i heard too.....

i heard that the cause of the Eclipse fire may have been excessive friction which caused the underlying couch to ignite......

Could be worse - a couple years back, some f'ing lunatic was running around the Detroit area torching boats, especially performance boats. Guy lit up something like 2 dozen boats over a couple years. In fact, I think the POS is due or just recently got out of prison...

Speeking of fires, I see that the Toad bought the place next door that burned. I asked the waitress what their plans were...they are going to build a new toad and then tear the old one down and replace it with a hotel.

It reminds me of the joke of the 3 retired businessmen sitting around playing checkers at their coutry club.
First guy says "yep, I had a good business going, but just before I retired I lost it in a fire. Insurance paid me well though." 2nd guy says "Yep, me too. Good thing I took out that extra insurance policy".
3rd guy says "That really strange. I, too, lost my business and collected insurance, but it was due to a flood."

That is too bad, these buildings are fire traps and they finally caught up. Funny, we were at the Big Easy on Saturday, on the way out the front door was blocked by a table of about 14. You had to squeeze around them, bumping them, to get out. The first thing I said to my buddy was "I hope there is not a fire, people would be trapped"...it is a good thing this happened after hours or they would have more than a burned shop. We talked to the girl at the Toad and she did say they are building next door.

That's just a crying shame :( I have spent some quality time and dollars at Eclipse ;) Anyone ever catch the hot wax shows? Great "entertainment" :D
