Pop up ads
 

I cant surf the web any more. It is even a hassle to look at OSO. All I get is pop up after pop up. It is bogging down my computer so bad I am thinking about just wiping it out and reloading everything again.

I constantly run virus scans, Ad-aware, clean out my cookies and temp files everything I can think of.

when I get finished cleaning everything out and running these programs I still get pop ups.

I noticed there is a OSO sponsor selling a pop up eliminator. as a last resort I was thinking of paying for there program, but be for I do I wanted to see if anyone else has used it.

What should I do????????????

When my computer gets wacky I run Tuneup ( http://www.tune-up.com ) its great for cleaning out my computer.... make sure you run the clean up and repair and optimize and improve features....

Google has a pop up eliminator that works really well. Adds a toolbar to explorer.

Well I just cleaned out my computer and ran all three of the programs recommended and it worked. I don't know what one worked the best. all I care about is that it worked.

I heard the Google tool bar works pretty well, and its free.

DONT load that **** on your PC. The only reason it is FREE is because they track your activity and then solicit you with what they think you will buy.

GET RID OF AD AWARE....it's one of the main reasons your getting popups. Just un-install it and then go download spybot

I'm with Tantrum on that one. I loaded it and deleted it within the same hour. Very similar to WeatherBug...cool program, but why do you think it's free??

I had spybot search and destroy... it has some tracking ware encryted in it also.... as soon as I got adware... it identified spybot as a "data miner"... now I just run adware. Plus I start up with "freesurfer".. it stops the pop ups dead... and pop unders.

If you're getting the "Gray box" messenger type pop-ups, go into your Internet Tools (I think) and make sure that "Instant Messenger" is turned off. No pop-up stopper will stop these messages.

Yup, Google Toolbar is your friend. I still get the odd one that slips through, but not very often...

See if you picked up Gain along the way. It hides itself nicely and you practically need an Microsoft expert to get rid of it. OSO has no pop-ups so it is not coming from here.
