Thank you to everyone who entered and participated in this past weekend's Poker Run!
Friday night's social at the Water's Edge was lightly attended due to the less than ideal weather for outside dining and socializing.
Saturday's Poker Run was met by rain at 7:30-8:00am. At the Driver's Meeting we made the call to delay the run and have a 1pm start at the Seaside Heights Bridge.
At 1pm, 30 of the 52 registered boats appeared at the bridge and ran the abbreviated course in the overcast and light mist. At the end of the day when all was said and done, we awarded trophies and prizes to the following:
Jim & Peggy Meade / 38 Formula - 1st Place (straight)
Doug & Joe Damiano - 37 Outerlimits (3 of a kind)
Eric Hangelli / 38 Cigarette - 3rd Place (3 of a kind)
As always, the card boats deserve a BIG THANK YOU for braving the elements!
At the end of the night, we also were successful in raising over $3,000 for our SHORE DREAMS FOR KIDS event next month!
The Lobster Shanty in Toms River and Point Pleasant did a fantastic job hosting our event and we were told by several members that it was one of our best dinners yet!
Thank you to all of you who attended and look for your Atlantic City Poker Run invites in the mail this week!
If you would like the invite faxed to you, please email us your fax number and it will be faxed to you as well! [email protected]
Best Regards,

You guys are troopers. I was out in the bay around 4:00 on Saturday (Not by choice..marina dropped the boat in, on time for the first time ever, and I had to move it to my house.) It was nasty out at that time.

Sorry we missed it and wish you guy's had better weather.
We were at an outdoor wedding which was soggy to say the least.
Congrats to the winners and to the club for another successful event in spite of the weather.

There was definately a nice chop on the water. The good news is that there was no one else out there when we were tearing ass down the bay!
It was a fun day to run!
