Anyone know this boat??
 

I thought it would be fun if I located the first Go-Fast I was ever on...this is the boat that got me hooked!!!! It is a late 80's or early 90's 38' sonic that was named sea-yaaa. My uncle owned the boat in the early 90's and used it in Florida and New York in the summers. Man I loved this thing...if anyone recognizes it let me know...

the pics are from 1991 but I think the boat was about one year old when they where taken...

There are not to many around and if I located the boat I wouldn't be to interested in it anyway...I was just curious if it was still around...nostalgic reasons...

Sorry, NOT! There are a lot of board members with em, one even hit 94 with his.

Mine has no squeaks, rattles or groans after years of abuse. Still tight as a drum.
I doubt you could say that about Baja though.

I think its cool to look for old boats. There has been a lot of these type threads lately and a lot of people on the board help. I am a lot more interested in the older boats than the new ones. The new boats seem to be cool for a year or 2 and then they lose 50% of the coolness factor because something else comes out or goes faster. I am so far down the line that my boat stays at the same level year after year.

As for late 80's Bajas and Sonics, i guess CMG is right, there arent many to find.

Yeah but your 'brick' is a very cool brick XH40 :cool: I love the older hulls as well. Guess if money was absolutely of no concern ... who kinding who ... I'd be rolling in an '05 fill in your fav .5 million dollar tug boat and even then, I'd prolly have something classic just because .... they are :)

There weren't too many Sonics in my memories (or what's left of it), but old Cigs, Donzi, Formulas?! O YEAH! I saw one below, from my teen years, in another thread LuckyStrike posted earlier this past summer and it really struck a cord :D :D
