[QUOTE=Strip Poker 388What the deal with the portable launch [/QUOTE]

The launch is not portable, it's just the photo angle. But I agree, I looks kinda scary.
The launch is very steep, but it worked out well.

Troutly, the marina is located in Stockholm, Sweden.

It looks like the trailer could high center in the middle. It does look like a bad ramp from the picture .

I put in a place at tickfaw La. once and had to back out of the canal that was so narrow . I had a 28 ft boat and it was not enough room to even turn around at the ramp.I think I even heard banjos playing but did not stick around to see . No pig squeals

That's some good looking hardware you guys have over there. Keep up the good work.

Interesting way to moor the boats. Haven't seen anything like that before. Spring loaded dock lines. New one on me.

Seems like it would be a pain but it looks like it works. if you click on the picture to upsize it you can see the bow lines.

Nice looking Apache. I like the paint, it's not as wild as some. Unique way to tie-up at the dock.

So, how do you get onboard a boat tied up in such a manner??

What year is that 36, and what horsepower is he running? She looks sweet, did that one used to be in france? What speeds is she running? The 36 is an awsome boat, my last one ran mid 80's with 775's and 3 A's.

Sweet! Looks like the apache in the brochure a few years back.

Yes you are right, my buddy bought her from france in 1995.
She is from 1992 and currently running 95 with staggered 572's and 10-71's 930 hp each.

offshoresteve, it is the brochure boat.

I have wondered what ever happened to "Twistana." I always loved that recessed hatch. Super sweet.

Now you know, she's next to me here in Sweden. :)

Whats in your 38 kv, those are also great boats. Bobby built a bunch of bad boys in 92. There is a few APACHES in france.

Twistana

Macureo Yacht Sales,in St Tropez our dealer at the time, originally ordered the Twistana. The engine package ordered, was a short staggered MerCruiser 454 H/P with TRS Drives. The steering bolsters and recessed sun cushions where custom built for the dealership. Gail Pack did all the graphic designs, painting, and color coordinating. I remember years back I received a Swedish magazine with a full article on Twistana, showing the upgrades that the owner had done. He really did a great job!

Its rewarding to see that Twistana is still busting waves and being well cared for in Sweden.
