Business software?

Is anyone using software to operate a small business that will keep track of a small inventory and do invoices and keep the books?? I am hoping this can be done for less than a small fortune!!?? Any suggestions out there?
Thanks

Quickbooks Pro. After seeing my records using the software the IRS chose to not persue an investigation into my company about a year ago. The software will keep you honest (and safe) if you use it as intended.

My wife's company is using Quickbooks Pro. Seems fairly user friendly.

I looked at QB pro and P'tree but had issues with both. I had trouble with the inventory and order entry. I went with the Redwing Accounting software and use it for inventory control, invoicing, purchase orders and all accounting functions. I have been using it for about 4 years and just upgraded to the new Turning Point edition.

It will do inventory. You could probably download a demo at www.quickbooks.com

Been running Peachtree for 12 years. Started with Peachtree Complete when it was a DOS program and cost over $300.00. For the last 6 or so years Ive been using the Windows version that cost less than $100.00. It will do inventory, receivables, payroll and more.

Quickbooks Pro does a great job handling inventory. I've been using it in my business for 7 yrs now. Does everything I need. Payroll, invoicing, accounts recievable, accounts payable, taxes, bank balance, credit cards and so on.

There are Pro and Cons to both Peachtree and Quick Books. I have a buddy that uses Peachtree for his business. Does the same thing I do for a living. He has to back his company files up every two years. That's all it allows you to store on the program at one time. You don't have to do this w/ Quick Books. You can run this program continually forever without having to start over. I have seven years of business on mine and won't have to worry about ever doing this. I don't know if it this is just the version of Peachtree he has, or if it's the same for all versions.

I took a look at the Redwing site that Pachangapina mentioned... looks pretty good, but I will also look at the quick books as everyone has suggested.

Thank guys, appreciate the help..
