Very lucky. Glad you will be OK. I have seen a few folks take the winch in the forehead before.

Damn man. You've been having some bad luck with that new gun.. Tickets and now this injury. Glad the injury is not worse though. Although, with the bruising and tendon injuries, I guess your lovelife is going to suffer a little... :)

Angels must have been there too :D

Neighbor took a winch handle in the eye socket, very serious injuries. Same mistake boat pulling weight down at diff angle. Law suits for 2+ years and basically haven't spoke to each other since. :(

Glad it was not more serious Cash

I went to the ER and waited 3 hrs. to get x-rayed and find out that it's not broken, but I do have some severe bruising and tendon problems.

Dedicated boater, pulled it home, FLUSHED the motors, covered it and then hospital! I do the same winch trick, never again.

I'll still be racing in Sarasota.

The love-life will be fine as Amanda is flying in from Atl. to take "care" of me for the weekend.

I am THANKFULL it did not hit me in the head, it was turning so hard and fast I'm sure I wouldn't be here now.

F-Razor, I know what you mean, it's either a boat or b@$tch problem every weekend.

Thanks for all the replies.

Sorry to hear. A friend had that happen and it did break his hand. He had a cast on the rest of the summer. I always think of that when I'm winching up the Black Thunder. Maybe an electic winch is the answer.

Cash,

sorry to hear this, but forget the electric winch; by a house on the water with a nice lift!! :)

Yup, ive had this happen, but with my sea-doo and luckily it didnt hit me.
When i boke my hand i was still able to work the throttles, docking wasnt as much fun though. im sure in a week youll be good enough to push the throttles down.
I'll be down in fl next week if you want soeone to drive for ya.
