Re: Active Thunder Flips in LIS
I work with this guy's next door neighbor. I haven't got any of the details (because he hasn't seen his neighbor since last weekend when this happened), but I'll keep you posted. According to the guy I work with, the boat was only a couple months old (at least for this owner), so the conclusion could be made there may have been an experience issue.

There certainly is nothing wrong with the Active Thunder hulls, stepped or not. This is clearly a speed vs. turn vs. trim issue, where any hull in the hands of an inexperienced driver could possibly have a serious inicident/accident. Add in the possibility of alcohol, and you have a news story waiting to happen.
I wish all those involved a speedy recovery. They are truly lucky folks.......

I do not drink that much other than a few Crowns or beers all day unless I know I will be overnighting. Boating is suppose to be fun, and I like drinking as much as the next guy, but it's not worth risking your life as well as your friends aboard or other boaters that may be in your path. I worry about insurance rates, and how high they keep climbing. And lastly, too many accidents this year due to neglect, we definately do not need big brother regulating something that we all enjoy to do. Jeff Jassby
