NYC Harbour

Looking for a good book on where to dock and shop/eat in NYC Harbour- Believe it or not I have been searching & searching! I found myself in NYC Harbour yesterday and really wanted to dock by the Sea Port. Not sure how or what was needed- I have called the USCG along w/Parks and Recreations....any ideas.....Thanks

How about at Surfside? At Chelsea Piers.

You can pull into Chelsea Pier and dock for lunch. I think its $2 a foot and a burger will cost you $12. Throw in a couple of beers and you in and out for the bargain price of $100-150. Hey its Manhatan what do you want.

Search the back issues of "Boating on the Hudson". They do entire issues on places to eat, fuel, launch ect. Its a good site if you boat on the hudson.

PS..Watch for the ferry wakes.

There's also North Cove Marina at the World Financial Center.

Re: NYC Harbour

Surfside at chelsea is a very rough place to dock, ropes & boat will take a beating from currents and ferry wakes etc...jersey city is well protected from any major wakes etc...and the ferry is easy and runs all day....
